Vintage 1960s Abraham Palatnik Lucite Panda Sculpture – Mid-Century Modern Brazil

A charming 1960s Lucite sitting panda sculpture by Abraham Palatnik, exemplifying the Brazilian artist’s signature blend of playful form and optical artistry. Crafted in clear and black patterned Lucite, the piece showcases Palatnik’s distinctive internal design technique, where embedded decorative elements create depth, light play, and a gentle sense of movement.

The panda is modelled sitting with softly rounded contours and expressive features, capturing the whimsical character typical of Palatnik’s Zoomorphic series. A delightful mid-century decorative object, it is both a collectible example of Palatnik’s pioneering acrylic work and a versatile accent for modern or retro interiors.
